Employee Portal | Login Credentials

The following instructions provide the information needed to login to your Employee Portal.

First Time Login Instructions

In order to login to the Employee Portal for the first time, you will need to know your Colorado State University Pueblo (CSUP) 6-digit Personal ID (PID) and the last 6-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).

If this is not your first time logging into Employee Portal, disregard these instructions and login with your 6-digit Personal ID (PID) and the password you set up after you were prompted to change your password during your initial login.

  • Go to the Colorado State University Pueblo main website: www.csupueblo.edu
  • Click on the I AM A… in the upper right hand corner of the site.
  • Click on the Faculty and Staff from the dropdown that appears.
  • Click on the Employee Portal tool from the blue bar.
  • Enter your 6-digit Personal ID (PID) in the username area.
  • Enter the last 6-digits of your SSN in the “Password” area.
  • You will now be required to change your password.

Changing Your Password

When changing your password from the original default password or from a password you have set, your new password will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Your password must be 15 to 30 characters long.
  • Only use these characters: Letters a-z and A-Z, numbers 0-9, and ! % + – . : ? [ ] ^ _ { | } ~
  • Do NOT include any of these special characters: black_space @ $ & ” ( ) ‘ ; = # * < > , / \
  • Do NOT include your CSU ID, or legal first or last name.
  • Do NOT use just one dictionary word (even if it is long enough).
  • Do NOT reuse a password you previously used for this account.
  • Do NOT repeat a character 5 or more times in succession. (Avoid: “aaaaabbbbbccccc”.)

Resetting Security Questions

To have your security questions reset, call the IT Help Desk at (719) 549-2002. You will need to provide them the following information:

  • CSUP 6-digit Personal ID (PID)
  • Last 4-digits of your SSN
  • Your birth date in the MMDDYYYY format
  • Legal First Name
  • Legal Last Name

Resetting the Password to the Default Password

To have your password reset to the last 6-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN), call the IT Help Desk at (719) 549-2002. You will need to provide them the following information:

  • CSUP 6-digit Personal ID (PID)
  • Last 4-digits of your SSN
  • Your birth date in the MMDDYYYY format
  • Legal First Name
  • Legal Last Name
